For Immediate Release:
Date: July 29, 2016
To: All NGO’s, Public Officials and PublicGood Morning Everyone,
Please be advised that starting Monday August 1, 2016, at 9am we will have a phone set up for people who are interested in applying for demolition of their homes and debris from the demolition to be hauled away.
This is a State and Federal program. The process will be that a person, who has the legal authority to the property, to call in to this number 304-647-9930 (Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30) and provide name, address and contact number. We will then have a county person come to make a determination if the home will meet the criteria to future process the application. If your home is determined to continue in the process then we will have you come in to sign a “Hold Harmless and Right of Entry” document. We will then send your application to the State for future processing. Then we will wait for the determination from the State on what actions and next steps will be. This is a voluntary program.
We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter. Thank you for you cooperation and assistance.
